Everywhere you look there are fabrics: a huge French tapestry above the sofa and a mix of utility materials, such as striped ticking, old gingham and cheerful polka dots, as well as an assortment of faded florals. The large twig above the table is decorated seasonally throughout the year. The hallway, just seen, is painted in a dusky mauve, a colour Sam mixed herself. For a similar shade try Pride & Joy’s emulsion in 8633 (<font style=”font-size:1.2em”>Throughout the house, along shelves and mantelpieces there are rows of found treasures and Sam’s exquisite handmade fairy dolls – wonderfully bohemian creatures dressed in clothes made from vintage fabrics.
